This page covers the RahisiBook Blog at https://blog.rahisibook.co.ke. The main site (https://rahisibook.co.ke) and RahisiBook Events (https://events.rahisibook.co.ke) have their own privacy information.

The short version

  • We do not ask you for your name, phone number or email on this blog. There are no accounts, comments or sign-up forms.
  • We count visits with a privacy-friendly tool, without cookies.
  • Some links take you to other companies, such as WhatsApp or an advertiser. They have their own privacy rules.

What we collect

Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visitors and page views. Cloudflare says this tool does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individual people across sites. We see totals and simple breakdowns, such as which pages are read, the country, the type of device and where visitors came from. We use this to improve the blog and to report audience size to advertisers.

Server logs. The blog is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosts, Cloudflare handles your internet address and basic request details to deliver the page and keep it secure.

Your display choice. If you use the "Dark / light" button, your choice is saved in your own browser so the blog remembers it. It is not sent to us.

Messages you send us. If you message us on WhatsApp or email, we use what you send to reply, and for the booking or business you asked about. We do not publish it.

Ads and campaign tags

Ads on this blog are links to advertisers. We add campaign tags (UTM tags) to those links so the advertiser can see that a visit came from us. If you click an ad, you leave our blog and the advertiser's own privacy rules apply. We do not load ad networks or ad trackers on our pages.

Sharing and the WhatsApp channel

The "Share" buttons and the "Join our WhatsApp channel" links are plain links. They take you to WhatsApp, Facebook or X only if you click them, and those companies then handle your data under their own rules. We do not see who is in our WhatsApp channel, only the follower count WhatsApp shows.

Children

This blog is written for adults and is not aimed at children.

Your rights

Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 gives you rights over your personal data, including to ask what we hold and to ask us to correct or delete it. Since we collect very little, there is usually little to find, but you can ask. Write to rahisibook@gmail.com.

Changes

If we change how the blog works, for example by adding a new tool, we will update this page.
